After 8 months of rescheduling my brother, sister and I made it to the vast and grand Blue Mountains, staying in a great Medlow Bath house overlooking the Megalong Valley. Up and out on Saturday for abseiling, canyoning and the mandatory bush walking to get in and out of these spectacular locations!! The scenery was grand, the water in the canyons was refreshing at 8c and the last abseil down a waterfall with cold water pummelling into you gave you a reminder that you were on an adventure.
On Sunday we went for a little 1 hour circuit bush walk at Springwood including 9 month old niece Zoe… over two hours later we had to exit the gully and scamper across the Springwood Country Club Golf Course and catch a taxi back to the car where we were supposed to be 1.5 hours ago :-).
The scale of the mountains, the formation of canyons, getting lost in little gullies and nature in general gives me perspective and I love it all!
